Par for the course

Se algo acontece como esperado, podemos dizer que é "PAR FOR THE COURSE". 

O termo "par" vem do golfe. Significa o número máximos permitido de tacadas que um jogador pode fazer para completar um determinado buraco. Daí os termos "ABOVE PAR" e "BELLOW PAR".

Eg:

A: "Jackie doesn't know how to get to the club, yet. Boy, she's been living here for about a year!"

B: "That's pretty par for the course. It took Jackie forever to know her way around her last neighborhood!"

Inflation has gone up again in Brazil. That's par for the course. The government has made pretty bad moves towards economic issues.

Essa expressão também pode ser usada quando nos referimos a algo como a famosa "Lei de Murphy": se algo ruim tiver que acontecer, vai acontecer quando menos precisamos.
